Bear-y Surprising Breakfast Guest Crashes Kentucky Kitchen – WBKR 92.5

Can you imagine waking up at 5:00 in the morning to start your pot of coffee and finding a big ole black bear in your kitchen?
That is kinda what happened to a couple in Kentucky last week. On Wednesday, May 21st, the game warden was called to a home in Bell County. The Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Enforcement team walked in to see the bear sitting on top of the stove with a huge hole in the ceiling right above it.
After some investigation, authorities believe that the bear climbed up an outside ladder that was leaning against the house. Then, it squeezed through a small opening into the attic space.
If only the bear had known to balance its weight on the support beams! One report said that the family tried to coax the bear outside before calling Game Warden Derick Creech. Once the Bell County Sheriff arrived, they were able to shoo it out the door.
Everyone was safe and sound, including the bear. For all we know, it was a relative of Smokey the Bear just preparing a kitchen fire safety demonstration. All I know is that I would 100% use this as an excuse to not have to cook meals or do dishes for the foreseeable future. Sorry! Can't risk a huge woodland animal falling on my head. Let's order pizza!
