Coronation Street legend lets slip huge clue they are Masked Singer's Wolf – The Mirror

ITV's The Masked Singer continues on Saturday, with viewers trying to uncover the identities of its remaining characters – including the smart-dressed Wolf. However, one fan thinks they've discovered who the star behind the costume really is – and they're a legend on the cobbles.
Last weekend's show saw Wolf perform a rendition of The Candy Man, with many fans convinced that it's Wet Wet Wet's Marti Pellow behind the mask, but now a new name has been thrown into the ring.
After spotting the tour poster for Coronation Street star Nigel Havers' solo show, a fan pointed out that Wolf could be him. Nigel's poster features the actor sat on a chair with a wolf mask lying on the ground next to him.
The tour, which is titled 'Talking B*LL*CKS', is set to kick off at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on Drury Lane and that fan is convinced that the poster "gives away" Wolf's identity.
Coronation Street fans will remember Nigel, 73, as Lewis Archer – the love interest of Aubrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) – in the soap. Nigel made his debut in the ITV series back in 2009 before making an exit ten years later, with Lewis being killed off in a tragic storyline.
Outside of Corrie, Nigel has taken on roles in Netflix's The Gentleman, drama Finding Alice, ITV comedy Benidorm and Tracey Ullman's Show. However, he got his start in showbiz back in 1973, taking on a small role in period drama Shabby Tiger.
Earlier this week, The Masked Singer fans took to X to share their thoughts on who Pufferfish could be – with some convinced that it's an EastEnders star behind the mask. One person said: "I reckon Pufferfish is Shona McGarty from Eastenders. #TheMaskedSinger", a different account put: "Going Whitney from Eastenders as Pufferfish #themaskedsingeruk #TheMaskedSinger", another said: "Whitney Dean From eastenders #maskedsingeruk #maskedsinger" while a different account added: "I reckon Pufferfish is Shona McGarty from Eastenders #TheMaskedSinger."
Elsewhere, another viewer speculated: "I think Pufferfish is Jacqueline Jossa #TheMaskedSinger", a different account wrote: "Think pufferfish might be Jacqueline Jossa #TheMaskedSinger" while another added: "WAIT! Pufferfish could be Jacqueline Jossa!! #TheMaskedSinger."
On Saturday night, Teeth became the latest celebrity to be revealed, with comedian Mel Giedroyc taking off the costume. One person said: "Well that’s hilarious, I had absolutely no idea it was Mel #TheMaskedSinger", a different account put: "Love Mel she’s such a lovely funny lady fair play to her! #TheMaskedSinger."
The Masked Singer continues Saturday on ITV from 7:00pm.
