It’s no secret that I love House Flipper 2. There’s something so brilliant about tidying and renovating a tired old space, and forget doing that stuff in real life. I’m far too tired for that sort of thing. I’ve put hours into House Flipper 2 and its predecessor, and I have very few complaints to make about either of them. Apart from one thing: once you’ve renovated, there’s no way to see a “before-after” comparison. Until now.
It’s almost like developer Frozen District has been rooting through my brain, picking out my silent thoughts, because the latest update to House Flipper 2 comes with a brand new before-after mechanic. Oh yes: players can now enjoy a side-by-side comparison of their renovations before and after. Such a simple addition, but one that’s been sorely needed.
This isn’t the only new thing coming to House Flipper 2, of course. Dubbed the Fairytale Update, it also adds a brand new house to renovate — none other than Red Riding Hood’s grandmother’s house. You’ll need to fix up claw marks, clean away remnants of wolf fur and repair the interior to be as cozy and idyllic as it once was.
There are also 190 new items coming to the game, including new wallpaper patterns, garden accessories and various bits of indoor decor. Gameplay has been improved in numerous ways, too, such as better HUD hiding, simplified wall and floor repairs and a recalibrated vacuum cleaner.
It all sounds great, but of course, I’m most excited about being able to see that all-important before and after. Finally!
The House Flipper 2 Fairytale Update will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Watch the new trailer below:
