Spectacle: The Music Video opens tomorrow at the Experience Music Project (EMP), and takes a look at seminal moments in music video history.
Seattle artists Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have loaned costumes and props to the exhibit, like the fur coats worn in Thrift Shop, the wolf head hat from Can't Hold Us, the Mariachi suit and hat from White Walls, and their Moonman awards from the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.
Also on display will be the paint guns, jump suits, and diagram used in the OK Go video This Too Shall Pass, polaroids from The Talking Heads' video Road To Nowhere, the prop ship from The Smashing Pumpkins video Tonight, Tonight, and many more.
While the exhibit isn't opening until tomorrow, the EMP is hosting an opening night party tonight at 7 p.m. OK Go will be there performing, as will "special guests"…..are you thinking what we're thinking??
Tickets are $25 ($18 for EMP members, and $12 for students). The party is open to all ages.
