LIVINGSTON, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Livingston Police Department is warning residents that a black bear has been sighted inside Livingston city limits.
Due to the sighting, residents are being asked to take precautions such as securing trash bins and removing outside pet food.

LPD said officers are monitoring the situation with the bear.
Police are also asking that residents don’t attempt to feed or approach the bear and to avoid the area where it was seen.
“With no food sources or disturbances, the bear is expected to leave the city on its own. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping both our community and wildlife safe,” LPD said.
