Meridian Police are on the lookout for a young man who reportedly stole more than $1,000-worth of stuff from Walmart and then threatened an employee with a handgun Monday morning.
MPD responded to an aggravated assault report around 11:20 a.m. at the Walmart located at 4051 E. Fairview Ave. Officers say a man who looked to be in his 20's loaded a shopping cart full of items, ranging from women's underwear to auto parts, and left the store without paying for any of it.
Before a store employee could confront him, police say he pulled out a black handgun and pointed it, saying "get back or I am going to shoot you."
A young woman was also seen waiting in the car for him.
He was described as a white man in his 20's, about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, and he was wearing a "unique bear hat with pink lining," a bright yellow jacket, ripped jeans and white shoes. Police say the woman was white, in her late-teens, with blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail.
The car they left in was a light blue, four-door compact sedan with a ski rack on the hood. They had Ada County license plates.
Anyone with information on either suspect should contact the Meridian Police Department at (208) 888-6678.
