Homeowners say a bear family constantly triggers doorbell cameras, waking them up – KKTV

ISANTI COUNTY, Minn. (WCCO) – One family is dealing with unexpected visitors.
The family said they keep waking up to a family of black bears.
It has been nearly four years since Tammy Madson and her husband purchased their home in Isanti County, Minnesota.
“Our camera goes off constantly, all night long, and he gets up and checks it and he goes, ‘Oh they’re back!’” she said.
Madson said there are at least black bears that hang out outside of their home.
“One large, one kind of medium I would say, and then three smaller cubs,” she said.
Madson said the black bears are outside every day.
“They’ve been here every single day. Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Today’s Tuesday, been here three times today,” she said.
Madson said she is slightly on edge about it.
“They were right there in front of the patio door just looking at us. I am afraid, yeah, a little bit,” she said.
Madson said the black bears have caused a bit of destruction.
“We’ll probably call the DNR and see if they’ll have some recommendations for us,” she said.
Madson said she is not playing the game that Goldilocks did.
“But the little bears are so cute. They’re like climbing the trees and everything. I mean they’re really cute, but never expected to see a bear, not in my backyard anyway and not right by my front door,” she said.
